step 1. Open WhatsApp App
First of all, open the WhatsApp app on your mobile phone. This app will be found on your home screen or in the Apps section.
step 2. Select the group to leave
Now find the WhatsApp Group you want to exit. It will be available in your chat list. If the group is too low, then you can find it by entering the name of the group in the search box.
step 3. Open Group Chat
After selecting the group, open the chat of that group. Here you will see all the old messages.

Once the group chat opens, three dots (⋮) will appear at the top right of the screen. Tap on these and select the “Group Info” option. This will give you complete information about that group.

Now a pop-up screen will open asking you if you really want to leave the group. Tap on “Exit” to confirm this option.
step 7. After leaving the group
As soon as you leave the group, you will not receive any notifications or messages related to the group. However, you can delete the group chat completely by using the “Delete” option.
step 8. Delete the group chat (optional)
If you want to delete the group chat completely, select the “Delete Chat” option. This will also delete the old group conversation from your phone.
